Eat WoT U Grow Sunday Lunch (Crabchick)

On 22nd September 2013, 60 people enjoyed the second annual Eat WoT U Grow meal. This was a delicious 3-course Sunday lunch cooked by a professional chef and his able willing assistants, using only locally produced, seasonal ingredients. The lunch was held at Northcote Scout Hut, Great Brockeridge and everyone agreed that the point was more than proved that eating with an environmental conscience can also be highly appetizing. All this for only £10/head, with a discount for those able to contribute something they had grown or foraged for the meal or their labour on the day.

As well as stimulating people to think about this issue of where our food comes from, the event was also a great way to bring people together and strengthen the community in a relaxed and fun setting.

Music was provided by Charlie Groves, a local musician involved in both producing his own music and in music education and therapy activities, especially for those with learning difficulties.
